Beginning in August of 2017 I have been lucky to work with CASA of Central Texas. As Court Appointed Special Advocates, CASA advocates for children that have been abused and/or neglected and are a part of the CPS court system. As a intern I went through the training all volunteers go through to become certified. I attend many different meetings, visits, and court dates to get the all around experience of a Casework Supervisor. I'm grateful to be assigned my own case as well as a courtesy case. I also work with the Volunteer Recruiter and attend outreach events to spread awareness of CASA's mission. Additionally, I have done some work with the Development Coordinator in doing Quality Analysis on grants the organization has received in the past years.
